About Jim Coyne
Jim Coyne has been skillfully representing personal injury clients and injured workers throughout his career. For personal injury clients involved in auto accidents, he has received judgments in excess of $2.9 million and $1.7 million. He settled a product liability case for a total value in excess of $1.8 million and a premises liability case with a total value in excess of $1.7 million. For workers’ compensation clients, he has resolved multiple cases for $500,000.00. Jim has had exceptional success for his clients.
Admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 2001, he received his Juris Doctor from DePaul College of Law. Jim initially began his career as a defense attorney at one of Chicago’s largest defense firms specializing in personal injury litigation. After several years as a defense attorney, having handled an extensive case load of motor vehicle, construction negligence, medical malpractice and premises liability lawsuits, he refocused his career to fight for the rights of individuals as a Plaintiff’s attorney. Jim founded Coyne Law Offices, LLC in 2007, a firm strictly focused on representing individuals in personal injury and workers’ compensation claims.
While Jim has been practicing law since 2001, he has also been a member of Iron Workers’ Local #1 Union for over 15 years and has extensive personal experience working on construction sites. This experience gives him a unique perspective compared to other trial attorneys when it comes to understanding the details of construction site accidents and understanding the needs of injured workers. His experience has proven to be extraordinarily beneficial throughout his career litigating construction negligence and workers’ compensation claims.
Jim is dedicated to meeting the needs of his clients by constantly keeping them informed and making himself available at all times. He understands how important a claim is to each of his clients. He has fought to recover millions of dollars for his clients through settlements and successful verdicts.
