Truck driver walking backward through a door, dragging a fuel hose into defendant’s mechanic shop for repairs, tripped on truck jack negligently placed inside the doorway. Truck driver fell backward onto his butt, injuring his lower back, eventually requiring a lumbar fusion. Truck driver was unable to return to his prior employment and suffered permanent injuries.
